This article will attempt to challenge you and motivate you.

So I’ll start with is a question for you. How open are you to allowing the Holy Spirit to have freedom and make all the decisions for you in your life? Have you got everything planned? Do you rely exclusively on your intellect or your abilities or skills or reasoning capacity to guide your path every day in every way?

The Lord in essence tells us that His ways are not our ways and His thoughts are so high above our thoughts that even trying to figure Him out is futile and a waste of time. No that does not mean that we can never know what His will is or His purpose and plan is for our lives. But how willing are you to let Him change your plans, change your direction or change your focus?

All over the earth the Lord is shifting and moving people around into different positions, different priorities, different geographical locations taking on different responsibilities and yes for some different churches. Now in no way am I condoning church hopping. The Bible tells us to be planted in the house of the Lord not in the houses of the Lord. So I am not talking about everybody. Many saints are right where they are supposed to be in the middle of God’s perfect will, but the Lord is stirring the pot for some.

An example of this is Darlene Zschech the longtime worship leader of Hillsong in Australia who has been used by God to usher in a dramatic and fresh wave of praise and worship that has touched every corner of the world. She and her husband recently set out on their own to pastor their own church in another part of Australia. But that was after about 20 years of faithful submission to leadership and was released with their blessings. Sometimes we get can also get ahead of God by leaving to quickly if frustration sets in or we do not see growth as quickly as we’d like, or oftentimes if things get stale or tedious or boring the tendency of many is to just quit.

But the Holy Spirit is doing a new thing in many places and desires at the very least to move us all into new dimensions of worship, holiness, faithfulness, and sanctification.

While the devil try’s to get us all too busy and too overwhelmed to do the things the Lord has called us to do. It’s a constant spiritual battle.

Some churches are doing the same programs that they’ve been doing for 40 years that the grace of God lifted off of years ago, yet they cling to man’s traditions. I encourage you to quit beating that dead horse. You are more than likely not going to resurrect that thing from the dead. It’s time for some fresh manna from heaven.

Then there are some people who are bored out of their wits and frustrated to no ends because the Lord has been trying to move them on or up to bigger and better things but they don’t want to leave their comfort zone. Or maybe the Lord is trying to get you to where you accept that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are not to be just quickly skimmed over in an intellectual Bible study, but are actually to be embraced and practiced as a vital, life giving daily on going part of the New Testament Church function. Or maybe the Lord has been trying to get you to learn to be submitted and accountable to Godly leadership and you stubbornly refuse and you can’t figure out why things seem to keep going wrong.

Well maybe the Lord is telling me that it’s time to encourage you by saying that change is not only inevitable many times it is also the Lord trying to bring to pass what He knows is best for you. Be willing to let God lead and guide in every way and you will experience peace, joy and love that you may have been missing or striving to find for quite a while. God loves you so very, very much and has a good plan for your life, and sometimes He is just trying to get us to die to ourselves, our traditions, our mindsets, and our habits, so we can truly live for Christ.
